Prevent Traffic and Red Light Camera Tickets

Traffic Cameras on Interstates Now: Prevent your next Tickets
by Dylan Deleto

Traffic cameras are not your friend. The cameras are emerging on almost every city street. Ostensibly their purpose is to improve traffic safety. However, everyone knows that revenue generation is driving force that has led to their installation at nearly exponential rates.

Red-light cameras, although they create a deterrent for motorists, actually cause more rear-end accidents. Nonetheless, local districts have installed them to garner profits rather than using more basic means of improving traffic safety. Revenue is king and safety is an afterthought.

A number of independent studies done on the effectiveness of traffic cameras and how they're increasing accidents in the name of "public safety", while filling the coffers of the jurisdictions installing them. There are 8-9 national and international studies that arrived at the same conclusion- the red light cameras actually decreased public safety by increasing vehicular accidents.

Perhaps you should consider calling your city official and raising a fuss before you get nailed by one of these cameras for making a legal right turn on a red light or you slam into someone who stops short at a yellow light for fear of a camera-caused ticket, Tom McCarey, an activist for the National Motorists Association, said, "When people know there's a red light camera, they change their driving behavior, and they slam on their brakes trying to avoid a ticket".

Fines associated with tickets from traffic cameras can approach $400 and tend to average about $125. Also, with a police officer, you may get a warning - no such luck with a traffic camera.

Adore them or abhor them, traffic are not only here to stay but are on a precipitous upswing. They increase revenue on autopilot. What chance do you really have against the unbiased camera?

Technology is the answer to fight against big brother. PhotoBlocker is an inexpensive that can be used to render your license plate virtually invisible to these photo cameras without effecting the legibility of the plate to the human eye.
